Wednesday World

Edits have been made since it was posted:

Today the world celebrates the 127th birthday of Inge Lehmann, the Danish seismologist (a person who studies earthquakes and elastic waves of the planets) who discovered the inner core of the earth. Using existing seismology data, she reasoned that beneath the surface of the earth is not just mush. That there is a center bit that has different elements than the rest of the planet. Not only was her conclusion excepted by seismologist, she accepted numerous amounts of scientific awards, and has a star and a bridge named in her honor. Also, she was born in 1888 and passed in 1993 at the age of 104. Holy. Basically lived in 2 centuries and was still around when I came into the world. Whoa. Trippy.
