Better Worse. Jux.

Amsterdam.
It is quite the view.

I had different plans for it though before I got here.
But I never carried them out. I'm not bummed by the change of decision though.

I'm quite tired actually. As much as I've enjoyed travelling. I'm ready to just sleep. As in have a GOOD night's sleep. One that involved me going to bed at 8pm or something and waking up the next day at maybe noon or something.

anyhooo pictures of pretty Amsterdam below.

Biggest highlight of being here...
VAN GOGH MUSEUM and the failed attempt at trying to order the ribs. :(
I love ribsss :( Ate no ribs :(

Fun fact:
I've a belly now. It's got a first trimester pregnancy look. Very 2011 Winter :)
You should join in the fashion! It's cheap too!

SOOO worth the go.

no idea how these are alive.
Where there's a will there definitely is a wayyyyy
Specially with money making.

Insaneeee long lines for everything here!
Specially this musuem. Well, duh.

One of the things I wanted to see very badly was this though.
Random, yes.
It's actually a memorial for the Jews who were murdered during the Nazi occupation
Also memorial for the homosexuals who were executed as well.
So yay!! Mission accomplishedddd :)

But either way, Amsterdam is pretty cool. We accidentally ventured into the red light district. Which was kinda weird. The people here are super nice though! So were those in Berlin. The smell of marijuana and the amounts of sex shops. OMG. Intense...

We barely touched the other museums though. Kinda getting tired of museums so we took it easy here. Which was kinda nice. We head for Brussels and London tomorrow! Can't wait for London! Seriously. I've been wanting to go there for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time now so YAYYYY! :)

Cuando Olvidas...

"本当に大好き!"
(hon tou ni dai su ki)
-I really like you-
Is all I wanna say.

Yet, all there is to say has been said. All there is to be afraid of has been feared.
The worst is over.
Though, really, is it?
Sure don't seem like it.

I wrote a nice post about dreams earlier. But thanks to the internet and technological problems, it has now, like the bunny from the magicians hat, disappeared into thin air. POOOF. Gone.

Then I thought of this.
Cause I really do feel this way.
Yet, nothing can really be done. Cause it's expiration date has passed.
Too bad, the candy has gone bad.
What once were your sour patch kids are now...
Rott'n Patched-Up Kids.

MEH Oh well.

I love Berlin.
I leave tomorrow for Amsterdam.
It's kinda crazy if you ask me... I kinda don't wanna leave Berlin.
I love it here.

I don't speak... German

Berlin is so far so veryawesomelyfantasticallyamazing.

OH MY GOODNESS :)

I love it!!! :) Definitely a super awesome place to be during Christmas.

Kay, though before I begin my (super failed) daily update about the places I'm going to (which is quickly rapidly decreasing in number, in drastic measures! ah! oh no!), I need to tell you this.

You HAVE to come here for Christmas! Take a week here, probably. It'll be enough time for you to probably enjoy it to the fullest. If you look up on the internet to see if things are open, hold your buttocks and prepare yourself for what I'm about to tell you next. Cause baby, this is why you HAVE to come to Berlin for Christmas :)

I swear, they're the best and they changed our dinner plans. So, before we came here, we looked up to see how Christmas would be like cause that when we'd be there and we wanted to be prepared. And according to almost everything we read online, it said that NOTHING was open and don't even think about it.

So, we went to the supermarket, got food that was fast, easy to make and lugged it all the way here... Only to find the Christmas markets open, museums, tourist attractions.. OPEN.
I even went mini shopping. Focus word MINI :)

Anyway... Here are the list of places we went to today..

Reading about the Nazi actually made me kinda sick on the inside

Outside the Berliner Dom (or the Cathedral of Berlin

(night view)

which is near...

then for dinner ie Christmas Market...

Can you say.. MAGICAL?
HO YES.

I love Berlin already :)

Gotta run now, internet is limited.

I've Always Wondered...

.... how it'd feel like to live in Venice.

After watching lonely planet do a take on Venice when I was probably 12 or 13, I would wonder how it'd feel like to grow up in Venice. Going to school, waking up to a huge river outside your window instead of dad/mom's car, it sounded quite so cool...

And almost 10 years later, here I am, in Venice. I was sooooo tempted to do a detour from Rome (when I went there) and boy am I glad I didn't! This place is HUGE and ONE DAY is definitely not enough....

first thing I saw when I woke up in the train...

It was leaning :)

Our expensive gondola ride -.-

I'm lovin' Venice thus far :)
I've been going Carnevale mask crazy since I got here.
Literally gasping at all the stalls and stores with masks in them
Good lord. If I had the money... I will buy them all!

I wanna be here when the Carnevale happens.
Boo. It's in February. I'd have to take a whole year off to travel Europe properly.
Meh.

One day... one day :)

Anyway, its quite cold right now and apparently my shoes are about to die soon. URGH
Seriously! -.-

ATTENTION:
Donations for shoes please! Or financial help please! I'm spending all of my money on replacing things that are breaking/ dying/ dead. Help please. Aite thanks.

jk haha but no, seriously -.-

One dead camera, 2 stinky feet and 3 heavy bags

Before I talk about the absolutely beautiful Budapest, Hungary and all I saw today...

I wanna share this with the world...
It is yet another wedding proposal. By the boss of Nuffnang and his now fiancee.
If you're like me, some hopeless romantic, PLAY PLAY! :)
HOWEVER, if you're too cool for this, I still say "PLAY PLAY!"

Meme Proposal | Tim * Audrey from Crazy Monkey Studio on Vimeo.

GAHHH! Sweet right? Then again right, I'm a straight up sucker for these kinda lovey dovey things lah.
So, it's quite natural to see me crying at things like this.
Kay, I mean seriously, I cried when Ashton Kutcher tells Natalie Portman in No Strings Attached said....

"you should know... if you come any closer... I'm NOT letting you go"

GAH just watch this mini clip.

You say lehh. -.- Imagine la. Anything love related is enough to make me cry. Aww such a softie. HAHA.
FAIL LA FAIL, Kim.

Anyway. Love rant/ part over. Now onto beautiful Budapest...

So, I was all happy today, all taking pictures and enjoying myself, skipping and whatever until.....

My camera started beeping red indicating that my battery is fast dying. Oh okay, nevermind, control control. Only take pictures when necessary. So far so good. I'm doing great, yeah yeah. *does victory dance* ohh yeah! high five myself on self control/ discipline. :)

So there I was, dancing, skipping singing smiling until....

....My camera made a bungee jump out of my pocket onto the road and went into vegetable state.

GRR. All those pictures and everything! GONE. *inserts adjectives*

But thanks to my travel buddy, here are some pictures of the things we saw today!

and the view of

The Parliament! OMG. STUNNING.

Then down the street was...

followed by a LONG HIKE
up to

It's so pretty. The view from there as well, just as beautiful.

After the long walk back to the bottom, we hopped onto the tram to the

All of it just cause my camera is completely dead and there's nothing I can do to retrieve the photos

Unfortunately, by the time we got there, we had BARELY missed the last guided tour of the day.
WHOOPS.
Oh well.

Eitherway, though today was a rather slow day (in the sense, we left the hostel at like, noon), we still managed to see some god stuff which I'm satisfied with la, really. We didn't go into many museums and stuff but seriously, I feel like I've been into one too many museums.. So really, I don't mind it.

Dinner tonight though, was FUN! Met a bunch of people and got to make dinner! It was awesome :)

I hope these pictures give you a good idea of Budapest... It truly is stunning and I feel like, if you're gonna go to Europe, Budapest is a MUST MUST MUST see! and the BEST hostel to be at is Lavender Circus Hostel. No doubts about it!!! :)

By the way, all the places I've listed, you can click on them. They link you to more info! :) Just in case you didn't know ;) HEHE

Anyway, hope all is well on your side of the world! Wherever you may be!

con amor y cariño.

HOHOHO.

Budapest has filled me up with just joy.

No idea what it is about this place that makes me skip in joy, humming to a favorite tune while smiling and thinking happy thoughts.

Today was quite an eventful day actually. First stop, we headed to the

However, due to an event that was taking place WITHIN the building,
tourists were not allowed inside :(
Boo.

BUT BUT!

This was really interesting.
This is a memorial of those who died (at this very spot) when they were fighting against communism
In this particular flag, there's a BIG hole where the communist coat of arm once was
The removal of it was a sign of liberty of Hungary

And since it was closed, we decide to go check out...

Which was only open for tours WAY after we arrived..
So me being hungry, we decided to settle for some brunch! :)

Hungarian Goulash!
Reminds me of my dad's beef stew! GAH misses!!

Hungarian chicken and rice.
It was gooood with this garlic sauce and hot sauce they gave us on the side ;)

Hungarian spongecake!
(was about to write bob instead of cake omg my brain)

After brunch we walked around a little and visited

I love the architecture!
Just, breathtaking.

But seriously though, he wouldn't let us in till we "donated" some money.
I know, it may look super identical to almost every cathedral I've visited but really, they're all distinct.
Some with mosaics, some with different drawings and statues but all of them so beautiful.
I'm sorry if I didn't really capture them they way I would've like to show you the distinction.
But I hope this suffices!

ANYWAY

Upon exiting the church, we landed ourselves in yet another one of those Christmas markets..

The reason why the looked closed is cause the openings of it are facing the other side haha

they had sweets (little dessert snack things)

candy

legit food for CHEAP
and SOOO much more. haha
After much insane walking around and jumping on tramsandrunningandblablablaimblabbingwheee

WE FINALLY

headed to the Opera House for our tour!

wow, I have a lot of pictures up here...
therearesomuchmorebutimgettingtiredactuallysoishalljusttalkabouttherestofmydaystarting

NOW

After the tour, we knew we barely had time to do other things cause they would take ALL day for it and it was almost sundown. So we decided to go to their mall and look for travel bags for ourselves.

Since one of my bags broke and I'm quickly running low on travel capacity when it comes to my
NEVER decreasing amounts of merchandise, I decided to switch my Forints for (yep you guessed it..! Or not.)

NEW duffle bag! (photo later)

It was reasonable, judging by the fact that I had walked the WHOLE mall (justkidding no, seriously) only to be disappointed.
But just has I had given up hope, we walk into the ONE store (our last hope, cause I was READY to call it a day)
and YAY! Now I have more space for my things. WOOHOO! :)
LET THE STUFFING BEGIN! HAHA.

To be quite honest...

I wanna talk about dinner but since I've no pictures, I will blog about it tomorrow.
I'm really excited cause it was a wonderful dinner. :) Really.
So, I guess this is good night for now?
See you tomorrow! or whenever. But I will do all I can to do this post tomorrow!
If not, HASTA PRONTO! :)
