It is official crunch crunch Cookie Monster on a binge crunch time for Kim.
I have completed week 1 of my final quarter/ semester of Korean classes and the search for a job has become more urgent than ever.
And so, if you haven't already done so, you'll know that if you type my name in on Facebook, you'll see my beautiful face. Annnddd before you ask "wait, Kim, didn't you...?" to which I shall respond. HOLD YOUR HORSES. It's on for a reason. I needed to contact humans urgently and so had it on. But I also remembered that my previous self had joined groups for non-teaching job seekers and had been browsing for potential jobs. That and only that reason. I use it neither to stalk, post, nor scroll newsfeed at all. NADA.
And in my search for jobs, I found this company that said they were constantly looking for people to write for them. And so I emailed them with my samples from my previous job alongside my Twitter & blog. After 3 days of back and forth emailing, this came...
Needless to say, I am rather excited. In one of the emails, the said person had informed me that they're launching a new magazine that is looking to explore an area of luxury in Korea. This gets me excited, not only because I get to continue working on my craft, but I get to do some work that I really really enjoy. It's been a while since I got to go out and do work like this, and so this gives me immense joy. I really hope that things work out.
But despite all this excitement, the hunt is still on. I still need a work that'll provide me with a visa to stay in Korea for the long haul. So before I strap on my invisible I shall be undefeated! bandana, excuse me while I go deep clean my bathroom.

Who's A Hot Mess?
Whoa.
The last month has been such an insanely busy one!
I've taken yet another break from the blogging because I was busy conducting work/catching up with school, and... my life in general.
From my current position, looking at myself, I am somewhat of a mess.
I just found out that:
1. The Visa I had intended on getting cannot be obtained with my current Visa.
2. After this semester, I only have till August to LEARN and make all the mistakes I can make in my Korean learning process.
3. Everyday is a conscious and painful effort to focus on my work, and not on the social media of the person I wish I could talk to instead.
4. I'm starting to wonder if I'm sane anymore. Especially with what I say. I could've sworn that I said A, but I end up getting an angry recount of what I said because I've offended the opposite party. That or what they recall is definitely different from what (I can positively attest to) I've said.
5. This one isn't particularly pressing but. For the school club activities, pizza parties have been scraped, and so have... performing (especially so for Dance and Singing Club. What's the point if we don't showcase the awesome stuff we've learnt?)
6. I'm worried about my future, and my family, especially my parents and how they're taking care of their health :( & also my beloved doggy. Mom told me that she was really sad when I went away for 2 days (after going home), so much so, she didn't wanna eat. That breaks my heart.
One good news is I managed to complete Level 4, albeit barely. I made it! But it still scares me that I just barely made it :( That means I have a lot to work on as I work through all the other stuff. Which, isn't necessarily a bad thing cuz thankfully I have two REALLY AMAZING teachers. One from my last semester, whose classes I really enjoy, and the other who knows her stuff at a godly level, and is really diligent in teaching us :)
With all that said, I have so many things to be thankful for.
1. I'm thankful for being able to afford to live in a place that has heating. It's no longer winter but it's still pretty cool out, and having hot showers is most definitely something to be thankful for.
2. The classmates I have this semester are pretty great.
3. My roommate makes having a roommate easy. She's super open to new things, she talks a lot, thus is CONSTANTLY keeping my (also) talkative self entertained at all times.
4. My students' moms really like me, and as much as I am no professional, it is always truly heartwarming to hear them tell me that their kid says "that was fun!"and one of them has offered me a job at her center with a visa and housing too. Something to consider & be absolutely grateful for.
5. I get to get my beautiful voice heard on the Korean airwaves, and I get to meet some really nice people when I work at the radio station. An opportunity that nothing can really replace (:
6. People around me are not terminally ill and I get to still hang out with them even if they're physically remote from me. Something that I've often taken for granted. :(
7. I got to meet up with my home boys and girls, and just the fact that I got to fly home to do that with no hiccups, is tear jerking, painfully GOOD.
Now, it's up to me to make things work.
Time to get back up.

Thankful Friday
Oh my days.
School has once again begun.
In a whole new level with a whole new class and teacher. And everything.
Today is now day 3 and I've already had a rotation of teachers to know who I'm up against.
Haha sounds like I'm going to war. I guess after Level 2 I just somehow got more anxious when it came to my teachers. And this semester, it looks like it's gonna be pretty fun. My teacher pairings have not really let me down..
And this time I have a male teacher who reminds me so much of a good friend/older brother of mine whose all calm but loud when needs to be & funny in the most subtle way. Then yesterday we met the female teacher who says she's pretty loud and out there (kinda like me!) and was given the title "big bro" for her characteristics and she's hilarious too.
I guess now that I'm supposed to be really good at expressing my thoughts, I'm getting pretty anxious about messing up. Though that really shouldn't be a problem. I mean, I once stuttered because I had 3-4 grammar points I wanted to use all at once and just stumbled (at the mail office) and the dude just laughed at me.
But anyway. I guess I haven't really quite shown much appreciation to things lately. I noticed that I'm quick to be annoyed by someone's not-so-great bits instead of focusing on the nicer things they do.
And yesterday I watched a video where a photographer started a 365 appreciation day using photos and how it helped her rethink how she looks at life and more importantly her husband who shows her love in the smallest subtlest ways yet unbeknownst to her till her project.
And so today, I'm sharing this because I would like to be appreciative of the two individuals mentioned above and also the teachers who have been so patiently explaining everything to me and my classmates since the beginning haha
I posted an appreciation yesterday for the amount of Korean that I can now form with an amazement at being able to explain things + a throwback to when I first looked at

Wake Me Up...
... when my stop is here... (whoa! it rhymes with the song lyrics too, nice!)
But uhm yeah, not sure why, but I've been falling asleep in buses (not sure why this doesn't happen in the subway) more frequently lately.
I related my past sleeping (more like bob your head involuntarily while napping) experiences, and was -in vain- told how dangerous it is cause I'd miss my stop (uh, this happened to me once in Barcelona actually)! To which I replied... NAAAAAAAH. I've never missed my stop when it happened so far. Until today...
I was 2 stops PAST my stop, heading to my 3rd and that's when I woke up. I also thought the bus driver would be stopping soon. But to my dismay... Nope. And some lady was asking me some question but since I didn't understand what she was saying, I just sat down awkwardly. Then the bus stopped at a red light and the driver asked me something and again clueless me couldn't respond. So instead, I said "here's fine" and was let off.
PHEW. CLOSE CALL. Thanking the lucky stars that I didn't end up in the oceanside or something.
Speaking of stars...
Okay. I'm gonna go ponder. Though honestly I barely have time (kay this Skype call was once in a while, also cause I place high importance of maintaining good relationships with friends)
Thanks for reading today! Hope it didn't bore you too much..

This'd be a really fun painting project
Ah. I miss painting class.
But on a whole other topic...
I spent about 5 hours talking to someone on Skype today. It was pretty interesting. The topics ranged from electronic cigarettes, to food (more specifically Korean food), and then relationships. One thing I'm left to think about was about how a person can say if their partner is "the one". We've seen such magnificent increases of divorces over the years. Noooot to mention the immense amounts of marriage proposals (I blame Vegas marriages, and overpopulation). But no, really. Often we see these marriages lasting short, abruptly ending because "things got tough" when a vow of "for better or for worse" was made. Hmm.
How can one really tell?
