For The Days Missed

So yeah...
Be warned: The post you're about to scroll down has not much substance. All you will see are photos of outfits I bothered to get people to take pictures of...
You have been warned...!

Merp.

Okay, rest time before the long night begins.

Antics, Shmantics. Shoot Me.

There was a slightly heated (okay, I LIE! NON HEATED...) discussion on politics today.
The topic of politics in South East Asian countries (OKAY! I LIE AGAIN! Only Vietnam and Malaysia -_-) came up...

I've told the friend... more specifically..
Thao
(HEHE isn't this great? God, I realize how creepy this sounds)

about this one time my dad decided to announce to a table full of strangers (to me) about how I know NOTHING about the politics in my country... ERM. INCORRECT, FATHER. Though, I was at the time so vested in what the speaker (it was at a POLITICAL dinner hosted by a member of the opposition party) had to say to us, so I just sat in silence while he beamed in how much he had assumed he knew of me... tsk tsk tsk. Meh. Anyway...!

Today was definitely a fun, art-filled day! I love Tuesdays + Thursdays... Seriously. Only things keeping me sane anymore...

Had ceramics & drawing!

Yesterday I had mentioned briefly to look out for my drawing (okay, those of you who saw it on FB/ Instagram, SHUSH!)...
VOILA!

I also worked on my cylinders! :) HEHE

YA LIKES? ;)
This is just some of it.. I added more stuff but forgot to take photos HAHA
MORE TO COME soon ;)

It is becoming harder and harder to get out of bed these days... I just wanna shut those eyelids and open em... Like, maybe after a month? HAHA This is when I wish I was a polar bear... Or a snake. Or whatever animal that hibernates their lives. Or a laptop. Though, I hibernate mines all the time, and usually they are not hibernated as long as an animal, but... MEH. ANIMALS FTW! :D

ANYWAY, it is CRUNCH TIME now. Everyone is skipping meals, downing cups after cups of caffeine/ coffee. It is time for me to DIP OUT from blogging too. HAHA. I will be blogging significantly less since I need to finish my work WAY earlier than everyone elseee haha.

you know I love you! ♥

Dear So & So..

Okay, so here is something I need to get off my chest...

Disclaimer: This is direct to one person, and one person only. Maybe you know who you are, maybe you don't... You're reading this... Or not... I really can't care. But this, is for you.

Dear ________,

In case you forgot, I am human, I have feelings. Whether they're for you, or not, I am not to be trifled with. A righteous human being would not so blatantly and bluntly lie like that. You can't even fool a child with a lie like yours. I've been nothing but civil with you, but you took advantage of what you have assumed to be my vulnerability and so flagrantly LIED to my face. Those empty words of yours, echoing in my mind. The more I think about it, the more I begin to wonder what it was I did to make you do such a thing... You're cold, Mister. COLD. Don't get me wrong... I'm not mad... It's just been bugging me for a bit, and I just thought I'd remind you of the liar you are :)

xoxo,

Kim

Plain Simple.

Ya like the template? Huh..? Huh..? ;)
TEEHEE.
I've been contemplating this for the longest time...
Have not been super crazy about the previous template for a while... I've been meaning to change it but just never got round to doing it much... What with my schoolwork and all that insanity... Now that I'm free-er (this will not last tomorrow) and was on my blog, I saw the template and was like, "meh, why not?", so here we are! YAY!

I'm sorry, I know it's a bit boring, but I was beginning to feel dizzy from all the photos, colors, and madness... Less is more! YAY!

Like this cup of Lychee Tea-goodness!

The black & white cup + the simplicity of tea sans sugar/any-form-of-liquid-that-ends-with-the-word-"milk".
MMM.

Sidenote: Seriously, I use this gif for literally EVERYTHING I think is yum. No pun/offense/rudeness intended.
Sorry of any annoyance caused.

But really, why? Simply put:
1. I ♥ EMMA STONE.
2. I ♥ the facial expressions. We roll our eyes one way or another... Don't lie, you know you've rolled your eyes AT LEAST once when you've experienced pure pleasure... ;) like, when you take a bite of something ohhh sooo delish, that when you swallow it, you're like mmmmmh, yumh!
3. It has the word "YUM" in it. Perfect word to illustrate the food stuff I'm talking about.
4. Did I mention I  FRIGGIN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EMMA STONE? (er, if you don't love her... then... idk what else to say to you...)

Speaking of DELISH!

Guess what I had for brunch today! Er, some of you MAY or MAY NOT know this... But... I had...

TADA!!!
*粽子!!
*(pronounced as zong zi)

So, okay, I've had them in my freezer, but I had completely forgotten about them..!
...until last night.. HAHA. I went to Martha's room and saw something that resembled these babies and it hit me.. So, this morning, I dragged them out, and OMNOM-ed them & shared it with some friends as well. It was just terrific! I apologize for not taking a photo of the insides.. I was so hungry... hahaha. I am not photo-crazy enough I guess..?

Long Weekend

We got a 5 day weekend this week.

Thursday was the official starting off day but since ALL my classes on Wednesday were cancelled, it was considered an off day. Even though I kept thinking I still had 2 of my classes... -_- it wasn't till I saw a classmate who told me we didn't have French class, did I know it was cancelled. The other class, I had walked into a completely empty classroom. Guess I didn't get the memo... :/

Anyway...

HAPPY BELATED THANKSGIVING!! :)

This year, I am being thankful for all the love and support that have been showered upon me on an endless scale. Deepest deepest gratitude!

Also, I know it has been over a month since I wrote anything here.. I've been so swamped with homework & assignments it's not even funny...

But here are some snapshots of what's gone on so far...
Side note: Some of these photos have way surpassed the occasions... that's how long I've been knocked out from my workload...

Sushi dinner!

when it was still warm...

mismatched Toms.

as the cold settled...

the Malaysian ring leader ;)

Halloween! :)

Spirit Festival!

the hype when Bigbang played:
Clearly only a few of us were excited... hehe.

Bigbang Alive Concert the next day!
A dream come true! :D

Some of the stolen shot.

Muh new bias.
Boy is fineeeeee <3 p="p">

Sad to say, that concert has messed me up psychologically. I've been on some weird spell where I've been crying, singing, thinking, eating, breathing everything Bigbang.. Someone shoot me please? For a good 1.30 hours, I watched 1 interview of Bigbang. It was my "relax" time.. Ridiculous..? Me thinks yes!
So yeah, lots happened in October and till the middle of November... Can't say I'm happy about some of them, neither can I say that I'm suicidal over these things... Definitely are some hiccups in between. Shall try to update again soon....

Pee In A Box?

Yesterday, I had the sudden inspiration to write about the types of pee.
For those of you who are grossed out... LAST I CHECKED, pee-ing is NORMAL. If you also get grossed out when someone says they need to take a dump, something's wrong with you. You don't go poop or something.
My advice: GO CONSULT A DOCTOR.
Chances are, your innards aren't working very well.

So anyway, I was gonna write about it today cause I was too tired to write anything. I was so tired I had to pause my french homework and request we continue working on the rest of it tomorrow (ie, today, which I got done by the way! イエイ me! hehe)

But unfortunately, I am not going to write it today because...

I am sick.

SADFACE.

Funny story: I had a visitor last night, and I had the AC on. But halfway through, I started getting cold so I turned it off. As it heats back up pretty quickly here, I must've fiddled with it a few times throughout because when I went to bed, I was convinced I had turned it back on. Just an FYI, the AC does this balancing thing where it keeps the room a certain temperature at any given time. So essentially, it pauses when the ideal temperature is reached and back on when it starts warming up again. While in bed, I thought it was doing one of it's pauses so never really thought much about it. Sides, I was too tired to get up and meddle with it.

WORST DECISION EVER.

I woke up, feeling slightly weird in the head. It was like a mixture between a headache and light headed-ness.   The rest of the day was.... HORRIBLE. I had symptoms of my migraine but was not in as much pain as if I had one. (FYI, this is possibly one of the grossest feelings ever if you've ever experienced it) Worse, I started getting hiccups in drawing class and after a while, could no longer stand it, I excused myself to go back to my room for a nap. Woke up still feeling like shit. Or worse... My friend says it's cause of the amount of classes I'm taking. One even suggested that I quit swimming :(
That all saddens me. (Kay, not such a funny story after all I'm sorry)

So anyway... my newly graduated (WOOHOO!) friend Ray sent me this...

It is officially the 2nd (3rd for some of you) of October. Another month (in 3 hours) has passed since I returned to this country. I can still remember the guy at the immigration 3 years ago telling me to "Have fun!" here. 3 years gone. 1 more to go. Well, less than that. What have I accomplished? What have I become? What DO I wanna become? The answers to these questions continue to welcome elude me on a daily basis. I can't stand up and confidently give you an answer because I simply just do not have one...

So, if you were to check all that applies to you about September, what would it be?
PS, I will blog about pee soon.

xoxo

In Loving Memory...

... of the brilliant thoughts that once ran through all our heads and have vanished in the unlimited, untouched section of our brains, like the folder of the unsolved and closed crimes.

Brain farts. They happen to the best of all of us...

One moment, we'd have the most mind boggling, dramatic, amazing epiphany or thought and the next, you knew you had this one real cool thought but nothing you do can or will help recall what you have just lost... Ahem, this also feels like all the things I have.. One second I'm holding onto them, the next, god knows where they'd gone... bleargh.

Okay. On with this week's outfits! (Just a reminder, I am using stuff I already have, so you will see the repeat of stuff such as jewelry and shoes, ESPECIALLY the shoes)

Last night's make up challenge:

But I wanna take about the eye shadow.
What I did... (please scroll to bottom of page)

As you can tell... I don't apply make up on a regular basis. Only on special special occasions. Like last night. We paid a visit to Rage, a gay club in LA. Boy oh boy was it fun! I had so much fun with all the girls and the cute little gay boys who danced and laughed with us.

Just a little update on my week since I lost the one thing I had wanted to seriously blog about...

If you may or may not have noticed, I had deactivated Facebook. But the next day, I had gotten a phone call from mom thinking I had deleted her and that she felt empty without it because she uses it to check up on me and cheer her up on a bad day. So, to make her feel better, I reactivated it. Oh Facebook, we couldn't even part even if I desired it. Well, not for long, at least.

I must say, this week is one of my hectic ones because it is the alternate week (one that includes the package an extra hour of class) but surprisingly, it was a really cool week of basically me being extra super hyper. It has also been a week that has tested my patience. My ceramic items were falling apart, I had presentations, lots of readings, and a mini exam. Oh, and did I mention all the stress and upset I had observed over the course of these 5 days? I remember getting comments like "you're too hyper for me right now" Oh yes. I felt unstoppable.

our afternoon view

Granted, in the heat this afternoon, I had a moment of bitch. Sorry. But I think the one thing that wrapped up the week and that made it oh-so beautiful was the Senior Forum that took place.

Things I'm truly grateful for:

Julia playing Peekaboo

It was so nice to see the class get together in one room and to address issues as a class.

and of course, the impromptu off campus breaks.

Question: What are you grateful for this week?

xoxo

Last night's make up:
Eyes (I used my middle and 4th fingers, and a thin flat brush):
VERY IMPORTANT: apply primer before shadow! Currently using from Urban Decay
After primer application, I started (using my middle finger) with a metallic medium brown as the base (I used this cause it is slightly lighter than my skin color, so pick a color that is one shade lighter than your skin color cause I will contrast it out with darker browns). Starting at the bottom of my lids in the middle, in a zig zag motion, slowly moved UP my eyes to the brow. Next, I took a purplish brown color, one that is maybe 3 shades darker than skin color and starting at the END of my eyes, in a decreasing pressure, brushing inwards and stopping in middle of eye. Now, you'd see a fading shade towards the middle of your eyes. Then, I took the brush (if possible, use one that has a thin rounded top brush one that looks kinda like this) and BLACK eyeshadow, slowly lined my eyes from the inside to the end WITHOUT winging it. So basically, I drew a line along the line of my lids and stopping at the end. Then, gently, using the brush, slowly smudging the black upwards in bits. BITS = 2mm. UPWARDS all the way till the end. Once done, using 4th finger, taking a color 2 shades lighter than 1st color, filling in the area under the brow (where the bone is) and dabbing the small soft patch between nose bridge and eyes.

Then, curl eyelashes and apply mascara.
WARNING:

REFRAIN FROM APPLYING MORE COATS ON LAYER OF DRIED MASCARA.
Followed by gluing eyelashes to eyes. I usually start from the inside of my eyes and work my way out.

Cheeks: EASY. BENETINT from BENEFIT. I swear on this stuff. Using the brush, I draw diagonal lines on my cheekbones and even them out.

Lipstick: I picked a deep Fuschia (I mixed my red with nude pink)
