In the past few days of my stay in Barcelona (which translates as beautiful city), I've done some exploring with a dear friend. If it wasn't for her, I think I'd leave Study Abroad thinking this place was just a piece of nothingness. This laziness derives from my not knowing how to explore.
Anyway... I've seen quite some beautiful things and I would love to share it with the world.
Those were the Labyrinth Park and
this A was near the other UB campus that was near the park
The next day....
LOVE the stained glass.
Bee tee dubs: It costs about 10 Euros to get in and go up with Student ID!
the ceiling. Beautiful.
Shiny organ left me awestruck.
This is the famous fountain of Las Ramblas. :)
Drink the water there and you'll go back to Barcelona, granted. HAHA
This was in La Catedral de Barcelona.
It's currently under construction, some parts of it.. But lookie!
Geese! :) HEHE
It was super cool.
The following day, we visited the famous Castell de Barcelona.
(
Castle of Barcelona)
the view from one of the four corners.
Felt super awesome to be standing so close to the edge.
There were no glass walls or barriers and it's a LOOOOONG fall down!
view from corner 2.
corner 3. there was a cliff beside where she was standing.
Lose your balance, lose your life.
The castle itself.
We couldn't really enter.
This was back down.
This is super pretty in the day. :)
Before boarding the Metro and when people were looking at me funny cause I was yelling
"Me voy a la cama!"
("I'm going to bed!")
Hey, I was tired okay! -.-
The following pictures are a series of 2 days.
Day 1.
We hopped on a metro and decided to go see the big colorful building that looks like a vibrator:
It's called Torre Agbar.
Its super pretty at night when it's lit up.
we call it the rainbow/ colorful/ peacock vibrator.
Then we went to this nearby market and I saw this!
I want me a typewriter! :(
Upon exiting, we decided to have coffee at the nearby mall.
And look!
The Greenwich line!
It was my lucky day.
Know why?
We walked summore and saw this:
A bull fighting ring.
They don't actually do it anymore but it was just as awesome to be in front of it.
But since we didn't know where else to go, we took the metro back to
Catalunya Boy I was glad. We saw this fountain I've never seen before and I liked it a lot.
But after bumming around, Veronica told me she's never visited
Parc Guell so off we went!
The view from...
up there. (see where the people are standing?)
This guy was really odd by the way.
Jumping, screaming playing the guitar with such force he broke a string. HAHA
More of Parc Guell.
After climbing up god knows how many hills.
The sunset was beautiful.
Day 2:
Went back to the same area where the Torre Agbar was.
Got on a tram to a place called
Meaning kisses in Spanish.
Other stations on the way.. Cool, no?
When we got there, we were disappointed.
There were these stars,
interestingly shaped buildings and a highway. HAHA
The reflection on the lake was gorgeous.
The little catholic church beside it.
All Gaudi's work.
Parc Guell was also his work!
I think I'm really gonna miss this when I go back.
And I really have Veronica Ortega to thank for this.
If it wasn't for her. I would've stayed home everyday.
So, Veronica, if you're reading this...
MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS :) HEHE
Love love
