Peace War

After the 5 hour flight, we finally arrived back at Soka safe and sound.

This past week has been life changing. I remember writing about how skeptical and unhappy I was with the UN and what they were doing [not doing] for my country (selfishly I think about my country but I have my reasons. My fellow Malaysians would understand.. What with the education issue, political problems, etc.

Anyway, I was rather annoyed and irritated with the UN (to a certain extent). But this week has been so life changing. Having listened and learnt about all the stuff the different departments do... I've opened my eyes to stuff I've been so ignorant to. It has also given me more options on careers and while it is frustrating, I feel more inspired and compelled to do something related to the UN. I remember as a child, my mom would always tell me that I HAVE to work for the UN. Never really got it and also since she was telling me, it made me wanna do it less. Now I see why though.

On a side note... I thought this was also a good week to do a daily dress. Since attire had to be business. I thought I'd have some fun with my outfits. This includes the outfit changes during the night. Of course, wearing heels, trotting around the Big Apple is not gonna be fun. I had to be comfy...

Day One.

Night One.
if you can see it haha.
Walked all over NYC with those shoes. Not so fun haha.

Day Two.

Night Two.

Night Three.

Morning of Day 4

Day 4

Wicked Night.

Day Five.

Day Five walking around.

Besides learning about the UN, we also did a lot of other cool stuff:

we bumped into a Sephora trailer and got matching make up.
They were promoting Pantone's Color of the Year: Tangerine Tango.
If you notice, we all have matching make up :)

This was $20
which Riri and I split :)

We also went to watch Wicked
Which was SUPERB by the way

Went for a 6am Dim Sum run that was followed with
a visit to Central Park
The flowers were at full bloom so pretty

Ferry Tour to the Statue of Liberty and

Ellis Island
though we did not disembark.

Went to Union Square to see
Occupy Wall Street

9/11 Memorial
Such a painful sight to see.
You don't fully feel the pain till you go to the place itself

All in all, I must say that New York treated me well. It had beautifully warm weather, the UN tour was AWESOME and life changing, the food decadent, the atmosphere terrific. Something about New York that just makes me fall in love with it all over again. Ah, I loved it.

Now, it is bed time.

Love love
